Hi, I’m Amanda.

I am a doctoral student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the Department of Life Sciences Communication.

As a social scientist, my research focuses on environmental and science communication, visual communication social media and social movements. I am driven to understand how the framing of discourse and visuals of climate change and other science environmental topics impacts different audience’s attitudes, emotions and behaviors.

I am originally from Southern California, received a B.A in communication from UC San Diego, an M.S. in public communication and technology from Colorado State University.

I like to hike, bike, do yoga, travel, trail run, drink good coffee and beer, snowboard, read climate fiction and recently, wheel pottery.
