Amanda L. Molder, Ph.D.

Hello! I am a social scientist who researches environmental, science, risk, and visual communication. I focus on topics like climate change, carbon management, wildfires, and prescribed fire. I examine how communication impacts people’s attitudes, emotions, risk perceptions, behaviors, and policy preferences.

I am currently a Staff Scientist with the Wrigley Institute for Environmental and Sustainability at the University of Southern California, and Research Project Administrator for the Climate and Carbon Management Initiative. I received a B.A. from UC San Diego, an M.S. from Colorado State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I reside in Los Angeles, CA.
